Boss, a precision custom metal fabricator, manufactures all types of components or complete assemblies, in addition to store displays and point of purchase fixtures, for virtually every industry in America.

In business since 1988, Boss has earned a solid reputation as a high-tech job shop, specializing in the fabrication of steel, stainless steel, aluminum and plastic. Superior service and computer-integrated manufacturing assist in providing products on a just-in-time basis.

Unlike most sheet metal fabricating companies, Boss has more than one specialty, and can provide stamping, punching, bending, welding, electrostatic painting and powder coating. They provide packaging and shipping of all types of sheet metal, tubing, wire and bar stock. Boss's CNC turret presses allow the company to punch and notch sheet metal at a rate of 300 to 400 holes per minute within a space tolerance of +/-.005, and Boss can press brake sheet metal up to 12' wide. Drawings are computer integrated with Autocad® 2011, and production programming is accomplished with Striker software.

Centrally located in the U.S. midwest, Boss Metal Fabricators handles anything from component parts to complete assemblies, from prototypes to production runs, in small or large quantities. Product development begins with computer-aided design, and the firm's business is 95% metal products, 5% plastic or wire fabrication. Products have ranged from steel panels for the HVAC industry to a huge assortment of P.O.P. store display fixtures.

History

Bob Bossomo worked for another metal fabrication company for 27 years, always dreaming of owning his own business. In 1988, the dream came true, and Boss Metal Fabricators, Inc. came into being.

Employees include Bob's wife of more than 35 years, Cheryl, who does the bookkeeping, and his son Bob Jr., recently promoted to Vice President of Operations, who handles all design and machine programming as well as managing quality assurance. All of Boss's experienced employees work overtime whenever necessary to provide just-in-time delivery. The company occupies a combined total of 24,500 square feet of space in its St. Louis, Missouri location.
